It begins. I always hoped he was going to be a long-term manager but deep down I knew he wouldn't.

Wonder if we can get Poch.

He'd be run out of Paris the second he parked the bus for an away fixture at Monaco.

Assuming he retires at 70, he would have to stay at a club for 15 years. It was unlikely he was ever doing that. I don't expect a manager to last that long at any club.

In fairness, all he said is he won't retire at united. He has always said he wants the Portugal job and that one day he wants to manage benefica too.

That said, coincidentally there were reports of us offering a new contract so maybe these are mind games for that too

I'm going to use his "even Sir Alex would have found it tough" excuse whenever I disappoint someone.

Just thinking about the game on Saturday, do we give them credit for getting the point away at Anfield or criticise them for not going for the win?

For me there's a lot of factors that you must consider. The first being that Manchester United were without Paul Pogba, an important creative midfielder and Fellaini an option that can really trouble oppositions. They went for the rather pragmatic midfield pairing of Herrera and Matic as they had no real choice in the matter. Then you must take into account that Liverpool never really opened up that much, they attacked and were the ones looking to make something happen but they never really went all out for the win either. I mean their substitutions weren't exactly very risky, they brought off Coutinho and Salah for Ox and Sturridge which hardly improves them offensively and they brought on Solanke for Firmino. Had Klopp brought on Sturridge for Can for instance and dropped Firmino into the 10 and went 4-2-3-1 and really all out for the win then maybe Rashford and Lukaku would have punished them on the break. But because Klopp went for the safe option and didn't switch things up the game just carried on the way it was going. For me, although he won't admit it, Klopp reluctantly accepted the draw by the 70-75th because he didn't push the boat out enough in the last 20 minutes or so. What else was Mourinho supposed to do, open up away to a Liverpool side who're incredibly strong offensively and can score in an instant provided they've got the space to do so.

A draw (and a clean sheet) away from home against a Top 6 side is a good result imo. On the other hand the quality of the game was worrying.

Mourinho must take responsibility but am reluctant to focus blame on him for this. A cold, wet, windy day against a promoted side and our team simply didn't fancy it apart from Rashford, Matic, De Gea and Lukaku.

But he found the Premier League a step too far even with unlimited spending he only averaged 68 points with a 51% win rate.

Whilst Wenger's averaged 76 points with a 57% win rate over 21 years in that league, sometimes with little money. What a guy. ;)

Just imagine how much better that record would be if he hadn;t been a complete idiot a couple seasons back and strengthened one fecking position... What a dumb guy.
